<p>This position is needed to develop AI powered features on Twilio’s Voice and Communications Intelligence product as part of growing our investment in utilizing artificial intelligence to support communications. The role joins an established team of software and machine learning engineers based in the US, LATAM and EMEA building these features.</p>
<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p>
<p>In this role, you’ll:</p>
<ul>
<li>Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code for our distributed systems and microservices, utilizing asynchronous communication patterns for optimal performance.</li>
<li>Build integrations with machine learning models and AIaaS solutions to create features to delight customers.</li>
<li>Contribute to the design and implementation of highly scalable architectures, prioritizing reliability, performance, and future-proof growth.</li>
<li>Learn and grow with your colleagues, actively participating in code reviews, knowledge-sharing initiatives, and working collaboratively.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Participate in an on-call rotation and ensure timely response to production incidents and system outages. Collaborate in blameless postmortems for production incidents, focusing on root cause analysis, learning opportunities, and actionable improvement plans.</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Required:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>2+ years of experience developing and deploying software.</li>
<li>A proficient working knowledge of Java, Spring and other supporting technologies.</li>
<li>Experience using cloud platforms like AWS, and containerization technologies.</li>
<li>Familiarity developing APIs and RESTful services.</li>
<li>Bachelor or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field, or equivalent training, fellowship, or work experience.</li>
<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li>

<p><strong>Desired:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Experience building systems as part of microservice architectures and distributed systems.</li>
<li>Experience building machine learning powered software and with MLOps</li>

<p>This role will be remote, and based in <strong>Colombia</strong>.</p>
